Headaches and migraines can be debilitating, keeping you from living your everyday life. The primary cause of headaches is tension.

HARTI cold/hot pads are ideal for relieving tension, stress, and muscle fatigue during a headache or migraine attack by applying heat to the problem areas of your neck and cold to the forehead simultaneously.

These heating pads will relax the muscles, release endorphins (pain-relieving hormones) and help you get back to living your life.

What Are Headaches?

A headache is any discomfort in the head region that causes pain or pressure. A headache may range from mild to severe and may be classified as acute (short-term) or chronic (long-term).

There are many different types of headaches, including:

Tension headaches - These occur when the muscles in your head become tight due to stress or fatigue.

Cluster headaches – Cluster headaches occur when blood vessels around the brain constrict suddenly, causing extreme pain on one side of the head.

Migraine headaches – Migraines cause moderate to severe pain on one side of the head and accompanying symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound. Migraine symptoms vary from person to person but may include: A throbbing pain on one side of the head (which may spread to other areas); pain on both sides of the head at once; pain above one eye or behind one eye; and nausea and vomiting (in some cases).

What Can Cause Headaches or Migraines?

Many factors can cause headaches. Some people have chronic headaches that cause them to see their doctor regularly. The most common causes of headaches include:
  • Stress
  • Allergies
  • Low blood sugar or hypoglycemia
  • Sinus infections
  • Migraine disease
  • Head injuries
  • Temporomandibular joint (TMJ)

How HARTI Can Ease Headache and Migraine Pain?

HARTI cold/hot pads can help with migraines or headaches by gently heating the neck and shoulders area. Relaxing tense muscles in your neck and shoulders improves blood flow to the head and will help reduce the tension contributing to your headache or migraine symptoms.

HARTI pads are made with Canadian grains, double layered 100% cotton fabric, sewn by hand in Canada, designed to provide relief where you need it most.

heat and cold therapy

Additionally, you can use HARTI pads for cold therapy! A cold compress applied to your forehead will have a numbing effect, dulling the pain. As cold compresses constrict blood vessels quickly and reduce the neurotransmission of pain, they can also improve the appearance of dark circles and ease eye strain after a migraine attack.

To use HARTI healing pads as a cold compress, store them always in a perfectly sealed bag in a freezer. Remove when you are ready to use, and place it on your eyes and forehead while lying in a darkened room for twenty minutes.

If you have two HARTI pads, use a cold one on your forehead and a hot one across your shoulders simultaneously.

Place HARTI hot/cold compresses for at least 20 minutes per session.
